idk how i feel about this book! the way it discusses food, femininity, female friendships, and desire is beautiful and moving, albeit a bit brutal.
i found myself spacing out a bit during the book sometimes because of the gore (dont read while eating tomato soup) and sometimes due to the narrative style.
overall, i did enjoy the book but it made me feel similar to my year of rest and relaxation, a bit listless and unnerved. i will say… the overuse of the word fecundity did me in we get it you know another word for fertile.
