Earth Wolf & Fire by Maggie Francis

3.0

This was okay. Ulla and Tate are the two main characters, they spend the majority of the book making cow eyes at each other and having a lot of inner monologue. When they are together it’s more inner monologue and very sweet talk. Ulla, is a blond, blue eyed and often blushing woman of color with brown skin. It’s mentioned often that she has brown skin, like the author searched the word skin and plopped brown in front of it. Supposedly she’s twenty-six but reads like she’s young, naive and grew up somewhere isolated. It’s mentioned that the male main Tate, slept with the female mains best friend. This is mentioned more than once but then never brought up to the female main or really fully addressed by the couple. There’s a bit of drama that is tied up solidly and neatly in a short amount of time.
