The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi
4.0
"When a man cannot see a person as a person, then the devil has slipped into him and is peering out of his eyes."
The Silvered Serpents explores the story of grief and how we overcome it. Each characters in this book have their own way of dealing with it. Pain can either elevate you to a higher ground or pull you further down to hole of madness. The choice is in our hands.
Other than walking down history lane, it also explores the story of friendship. Personally, this is where I think the writing was improved compared to the first book, The Gilded Wolves. The relationship between the characters progress beautifully, felt more real and more stronger than before.
The Gilded Wolves left me heart-broken. But The Silvered Serpents DESTROYED me even further and left me in absolute mess! Now I have to bear the maddening and torturing wait for the next book to come out
