The Word Exchange

I'm usually not drawn to mysteries and thrillers, and so that low expectation may partially be why I ended up really enjoying The Word Exchange. It's set in a dystopian future where words (and thus language) are a commodity on the market, and the main characters are lexicographers working on what seems likely to be the final edition of The North American Dictionary of the English Language. It's a thriller for word nerds.
