Cinder by Marissa Meyer
5.0
Dude. This book was fun! Soft sci-fi Cinderella set after World War III in New Beijing, where Cinder is a cyborg due to a horrible accident and now she works as a mechanic. Then Prince Kai shows up with an secret-holding android needing to be fixed. And there’s a plague. And a colony of telepaths/empaths on the moon whose queen is looking to gain control of Earth. What a blast!
I know a big complaint with this books is many people see the plot-twist coming a mile away. I did too, but what kept me going was the wonderful characters and wondering how THEY were going to figure out the plot-twist. I don’t know if it was intentional dramatic irony or not, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Cinder is ❤️. Kai is ❤️, Iko is ❤️, Peony is ❤️. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait for May when I have budget to buy the next book in the series! 😀
