A Hard Kick in the Nuts: What I've Learned from a Lifetime of Terrible Decisions by David Peisner, Stephen Steve-O Glover

2.0

I'm not sure what I really expected from this.. I suppose I was hoping for a little more insight on how he turned himself around, on his sobriety and veganism and mental health. It was written very straight forward and honestly - which I give kudos for. But overall, I think maybe I just don't like Steve-O as a person.. a lot of this book seemed like a humble-brag, or talking about *other peoples' sobriety/issues/etc. At least he's honest about being a braggart and a bit of a jerk.
I struggled to concentrate or enjoy this - but as someone who used to watch Jackass in high school with friends, I was hoping the nostalgia would help. As someone who's recently sober, I was hoping to gain some wisdom from someone who was so deep into addiction.
Can't recommend this book in good faith, but it was kinda neat to see what he'd been up to since I was in high school.
