Oh my gawd. Did I fell in love again? Yes.
Alex is my boyfriend from now on and no one can say otherwise. (Sorry Ava) From the start to end it was soo interesting that I didn't want to put it down. The starting was very sweet and it makes me swoon over it. The tśundere energy in here is so powerful. Ava is such a lovable character and she deserves all the love in the world. The way she believes in love is fascinating and her bubbly self makes it soo much better. It's so sad that no matter how good she is the world doesn't give it back to her. Her trauma, her sad past is soo concerning and it makes sense why she's the way she is.
And Alex. Ehem. Oh my gawd.
In my mind he was the most handsome guy in the world. How his eyes getting dark everytime something happens is sooo vivid. His tsundere aura is what I'm living for. Can we talk about how good his characte is. Despite his goal he still cares about his loved ones.
(Side note: I hate his uncle) Yes there were times I hated Alex for being soo Alex but when he's acting like a human, it's the best thing ever.
I didn't specifically liked or disliked Josh, but I liked him being a great brother. Yes, he's not the best role model even though he's an all-rounder. But him being responsible brother is all I ask for. And him taking Ava's side every time and being so considerate and open mind should appreciated.
(I didn't like Ava's father from the beginning to end and don't ask me why. It's my gut feeling telling me that he's not a great person or great dad was so powerful than him being their father)
And my god and the PLOT TWISTS. It was not one, it was not two there were multiple plot twists and its mind blowing. How can someone come up with all these ideas? (Kudos to Ana Huang) We were in the middle of the book when the plot twist happened and I was like wait what???
And then after some time the second happened, and the third so on. One after another. And I couldn't believe my eyes. This is what we want from a book. I really admire this book for this.
The scenes are so graphic and and it's so fascinating. Even though it's not flower beds and lavender Gardens, it's well described and it made the experience so much better. You live in that moment and not for a second it feels that this isn't real.
I should give my reasons to remove that 0.25 from my rating despite this being a such a great book. It was because Alex. Yes he's the reason I swooned over this book but he's also the reason I had to do that. I appreciate him being a responsible human being but I cannot accept all his wrongdoings. He did something that I can't accept at all and I have to admit that I didn't like it not even a little bit. (If you've read the book you know what I'm talking about) I wish he didn't do what he did but I know that's the whole point of his character. Other than that he is a great human being and I love everything about him.
And finally I'm really happy that we have a sequel and we could go on. I'm soo excited to read the next one.
