Vengeful Gods by Elliott Rose
2.0

700 pages of what the actual F did I just read.

Spoiler.
Every situation calls for sex.
Kidnapped? Sex
Fondled by a gross dude? Sex
Near death experience? Sex
Add some eggs? Sex
Just had sex? More sex!

I’m hardly a prude but the answer isn’t ALWAYS sex. The book barely has a plot and every other chapter is an ode to pebbly nipples that are a dusky rose color (direct quotes). However the book officially lost me when the friend Em came back into the picture AS A CAPTIVE and then just faded out and it’s totally fine. Never explained or questioned just dragged her in and it was cool. Then sent her away and it was also cool. That part sent me over the edge of how disjointed and incoherent this book was. Without the sex scenes it is roughly 50 pages of plot and that’s it. So much for mafia romance with polyamorous twist. So disappointing.
