Review: This book is the first in a trilogy and I absolutely adore the MMC. He is grumpy and protective, my favorite traits in a love interest. I also love the petty banter between the two MC’s. The love the FMC has for her sister is also something I loved to see. The development of the FMC was great, getting to watch her come out of her shell. It was missing that little but extra that makes a book a five star for me. I was excited by the writing of the side characters and it made me want to charge head first into finishing the rest of the series.
Likes: petty banter, strong FMC, lovable side characters
Dislikes: While I did love the back and forth with the petty banter I wish there was more explanation of the feeling development. I also would have appreciated a more direct plot rather than mostly just character focus.
Tropes: arranged marriage, mafia romance
Graphic: Murder
