Keep It in the Family is a chilling thriller about a young couple, Mia and Finn, who buy a run down house in hopes of turning it into their dream home. Shortly after Mia becomes pregnant, they make a disturbing discovery. Suitcases containing the mummified remains of several children. Their dream home becomes a crime scene, and Mia becomes increasingly obsessed with the horrific events that occurred in their house.
As Mia delves deeper into the past, her fixation strains her relationship with Finn and their newborn baby. The narrative includes flashbacks from an unnamed individual who lived in the house decades ago and was forced to participate in luring children to their deaths.
Secrets and lies begin to unravel within Finn's family.
The story explores the darkest corners of the human psyche, the destructive power of secrets, and a mother's fierce determination to protect her family from a present danger rooted in the past.
Twists and shocking revelations keep you guessing until the very end. Really this book was a wild read and there was many expected and unexpected aspects of it, once I got into it(admittedly took me a the first 4th of the book) I couldn’t stop listening.
