This is a slow burn with 1.5 chili peppers of 5 where 4th wing would be 4 chili peppers for reference. This is a decent read if you’re coming off of a ACOTAR hangover.
I appreciated the character development. I hate it went authors drone on and on about how blue the sky is. This author didn’t overly elaborate on detail but it was enough to develop a feel for the world/setting. I was surprised how engaged I became in the fight scenes. The work left me chomping at the bit for book 2.
