The Monsters of Otherness by Kaza Kingsley

4.0

Hmm. Well, I agree with some of the other reviews, there were definitely some very awkward explanations given. Er, that doesn't quite say it. There were some points were it really felt like the author just couldn't get it down in words- not so reassuring since that's an authors job. There were a couple of time where I found myself frowning because the plot was getting see-through or unoriginal as well.
One good thing though, and it actually made me really like this books, was the characters. They were well developed and displayed in this book. They were really the saving factor of this book.
All in all, it was better than the first book in some ways, worse in others, and equal in the rest. Helpful, right? I still think that the series is good, and I'm sure the other readers will want to hang around for book three as much as I do.
In short, it was good, but not great. Worth reading, but not top of the list. I really like the series though, and I am eager to see how it will progress in book three.
