This book was refreshing! The characters aren't over the top crazy, rich or evil. There are no bad guys blackmailing, kidnapping or abusing any of the characters. Jake, Paige and Casey are completely realistic; they are characters who could be yolur friends, coworkers or neighbors.
I adored Casey especially and her parts of the story are so incredibly well written! Claudia Connor did an astounding job writing a book including a child with special needs that doesn't involve pity or anger. Every emotion Jake, Paige and Casey experience in this book is relatable and believable.
I'm looking forward to the spin-off series for seconadary characters in this series!
