I liked this book it came out before The Butcher but I read it after and got a lot of Butcher vibes. Similar story line, powerful man, insane physical chemistry, a damsel in distress. I did not care for the MMC’s name Balto, it kept making me think of the Disney movie.
I do feel like the premise of how Cassini was forced to marry her husband Lucian is crazy and I’m hoping the other books in the series show her ex getting punishment for what he did. Overall I enjoyed it.
