Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert

This book was not as great as I wanted it to be. The writing was fun but for a nonfiction story, I didn't buy the storyline. Not that I think the author was dishonest about her personal stories, I was simply annoyed by the parts that she conveniently left out of her story. Everything would fall into place so easily, there were no perceived difficulties traveling. If you've ever lived abroad, your life doesn't fall nicely together like a planned out novel plot line, it takes a while to orient yourself, you get lost all the time, if you don't speak the language, you are constantly frustrated, you don't instantly make a group of friends in 2 weeks. I guess I'm trying to so say that the story was highly romanticized which makes for a fun book so that being said, I would recommend this book as a good beach read for women.
