Sweet Shadows by Tera Lynn Childs

Solid 4.5
I just sped through this so quickly. I love how complex this world is and how there isn't clear good sides or bad. The characters are super likable and relatable plus they have much more to them than I originally thought.
How in the world does Thane play into this? Why does Nick lie half the time? Seriously how does Gretchen still trust him? Since I ship Greer with Thane and both Thane and Nick already know about the entire huntress secret life of theirs, how will Milo find out? Or how is he a part of that world? Is Thane a demigod like Nick? And maybe he went somewhere to figure that out when he disappeared. But Milo doesn't seem to be involved at all. Nothing about him is really mysterious or questionable like Thane and Nick were.
It's still unclear how Gretchen, Grace and Greer will manage guarding the gate cause they still have lives outside their responsibilities with that.
Oh and another thing did Grace's friends at school and classes just kind of disappear from her mind. It's just that they haven't really been touched for a long time. And Gretchen has kind of been missing for a while from school hasn't anyone gotten worried and maybe checked up on her? That was a big problem for her in the first book but it's kind of been forgotten. I get that under intense conditions like this the consequences are kind of left unknown until after the action, but I'm still curious.
