Remember by Dylan Allen

5.0

While this book is so different from Rise, Dylan's first book, it still has everything I look for. It takes you through the gamut of emotions throughout Dean and Millie's story. This story definitely has it's share of villains and those who seek to ruin Millie and Dean's happiness. I adore second chance romances and love when people can find their way back to each other. There is no random unnecessary drama and the conflict and resolution is realistic for the age of the characters. This book has funny scenes with Millie's mom and best friend, heartwarming scenes with Millie's son, red hot bedroom (and elsewhere) scenes, lots of WTF moments as details are revealed about Dean's parents, and a resolution to Millie's dad's story from the first book. Overall the characters were relatable and very realistic. I love that karma reaches out and smacks those who deserve it in this story. There are some I would have loved to see tossed off a balcony, but they all end up getting what is coming to them. This is a great story that would appeal to just about anyone! I suggest reading Rise first but you probably don't have to. I'm just OCD like that.
