The Long Goodbye by Raymond Chandler

adventurous mysterious reflective medium-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? No

4.0

Intriguing, frankly oft humorous, sentimental enough with elements of social commentary that yet persists, and simply splendidly written and paced I thought.

(I can’t entirely overpass some of the racial and gendered remarks made but I suppose I can understand to be a symptom of it’s time and culture it was written in). 31.4.24
