Prophet Song is a dystopian novel that opens with Eilish, a scientist and mom, who finds two officers of Ireland’s newly formed secret police at her doorstep to question her unionist husband. What follows after his arrest is an unimaginable descent into chaos as the government turns to totalitarianism and Eilish attempts to save her family in the midst of a violent civil war. It’s an urgent, terrifying, dark, read about modern day warfare that questions our notions of stability and the promise of our future.
