Onyx Storm expands beautifully on dragon lore, adding depth to the world-building, but the pacing feels stretched at times. Some scenes and dialogue could have been tightened for a more engaging read, especially since I had hoped this would be a trilogy rather than a five-book series. That said, the character development and high-stakes conflicts keep the story compelling. I especially enjoyed the various POVs from other characters toward the end—they were a welcomed addition, and I’d love to see that explored further in future books. While I appreciate the intricate details, the slow momentum was frustrating when I was craving a more action-packed read. However, that massive cliffhanger has me very excited for the next installment! Overall, an enjoyable but overly long read.
