Meet the Austins by Madeleine L'Engle

4.0

Another story about an idealic family, who still appears normal. I really like L'Engle's portrayal of the family, the love that surrounds them and the memories they create as a family. Written from the perspective of the 12 year girl in the family. I put it up there with the Melendy Quartet and Penderwicks, of a good book, with good values being taught in the home portrayed, yet the characters still have their faults. This book also deals with grief and how to cope with it through love.
