What a fabulous read. The untold stories of the women in Vietnam concerning Frankie and 2 of her nursing friends. Poignant, informative historical fiction. Friendships, love, war, addiction, PTSD and so much more. I loved the accessible writing style and the portrayal and horrors of nursing in Vietnam. How the vets were treated coming home with Frankie being spat on was heart-wrenching. It was wonderful, thought-provoking, and I learnt shed loads. It packed punches, but so beautifully written. It's one of my favourite books I've read so far this year......
Edit 2nd time reading was just as excellent as the first. An utterly wonderful superb read.
