The Burnout
by Sophie Kinsella
Had been a while since I read a Sophie Kinsella's book, and it was a treat to fall back into her writing! I was afraid the burnout theme would be a bit too glamorized, or made to be palatable in a quirky way, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it was depicted.
The characters were oh so charming, main and secondary equally. The Terry plotline was very sweet. I will say the lovers' painting arc was a bit random. Would've been for it to come back at the end. Bonus, i listened tot he audiobook and the narrator did a fantastic job, which added to my enjoyment of this book!!
