Much different from the movies, it provided me with a better understanding of the plot which had been a bit butchered in order to fit the film format. Nonetheless, I admit to have sometimes struggled a little to grasp all the details and logic of the narrative, the language and sentence structure being quite peculiar at times.

Although it is a long book I had no trouble getting through it, it always made me want to keep reading it. The whole world building is astonishing with the different planets, houses, quotations, languages, the terminology, the Bene Gesserit… though pretty complex. Therefore I would still recommend watching the movies first.
