Midnight at the Blackbird Café by Heather Webber

3.0

3.5 stars. This is a light, charming and enjoyable read. It’s strongest attribute is the unique idea that dead loved ones can pass messages to the living if you indulge in the berry pie that day. It’s surrounded by southern characters with stereotypical charm, and young people struggling to find their way in the world. It’s predictable which can make a book comforting, and you can enjoy the characters as if they are you own family.
