When Demons Walk by Patricia Briggs

3 1/2 good, sometime quite good.
These earlier works of Patricia Briggs definitely are good but not great. The last one I liked the best so far. At times they go off to explanations and not showing, or too much complication. Still the fantasy is good to really good and this I would have bumped up to 4 again except that the ending was just too abrupt for me. We have the climatic action scene where everything is resolved/solved and then bam decision and ending. Also, I didn't feel like I really knew anyone well but the 2 main characters. The other characters are just a little flat. So the story was engaging and it was good, and at times it was really good, but not the majority of the time and the ending really decided it for me.
