the first chapter or two was interesting and enough to hook me but then it just went downhill. the author constantly throws the laws established about the world out the window and the plot and character interactions is only propelled forward when the main character has a random outburst of anger over nothing and picks a fight over something that seems entirely outside his character.

Very early on we establish that most people hate vampires, especially the reapers, yet somehow two vampires are able to come into reaper headquarters and start bossing people around and everyone just tucks tail and obeys? Remmy has known nothing but gore and violence his whole life but he freaks out when the main vampires turn animals that were dying into vampires or ask infected villagers if they want to help develop a cure? Remmy who has only known sex through hushed affairs with married women openly discussing sex with a high ranking vampire while walking through a vampire castle?

Literally make it make sense I could go on forever. Dont waste your time here unless you love slop that is barely above a YA reading level
