Umm... are we still waiting for the other shoe to drop?
I love this series so much and I was dying for the next book to come out but this one was pretty underwhelming. It felt like a novella compared to all the others. There was so very little going on and it basically ends at the same place it begins. There was no drama, no fireworks and we saw very little of the Seven in this book. In every other book, there was constant interaction with the Seven, the Guild and the Refuge.
Most disappointing of all, there was so little Illium in this book. Sure, Aodhan wouldn't stop talking about him but I'd have loved to know what he was up to while all this stuff with the Luminata was going on.
