I’m mostly just proud of myself for actually finishing a book, as I’ve been in a months long reading slump. I definitely want to do more reading from here. And I think women’s fiction might be a good genre for me. Slow reads, no pressure.

As for this book specifically. It was very interesting and a powerful look at what it meant to be light skinned black during the early 1900s. I do love the idea of the Morgan Library. The complicated love arrangements were messy,  but also propelled the book forward. A pleasant read.
