The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie
2.0

This book begins with two friends in their early 20s after world war 2 has ended. They’re desperate for jobs and trying to come up with a plan to make money, when an opportunity comes knocking. When they begin looking more into it though, it seems the entire situation is much dirtier and riskier than expected. They’re enlisted to help track down people involved in the communist scare, detailing their adventure.

There were certainly twists and turns, although I called the ending and kind of proud of that. Curious if other people had the same experience.

It was an okay story but I didn’t feel sucked in and considered DNF’ing it a few times. I had to keep convincing myself to pick up the book by not letting myself start another until this was done.
