unpopular opinion: i really enjoyed this one
i'm a sucker for the trapped in one location (more than one in this case but idk how to explain that) and love books that are set over the span of just a few hours, so i was very excited going into this one. with that being said, i also went into this one with low expectations since i had seen so many bad reviews of it and was disappointed by the last sager book i read. i'm very happy to report that i actually really liked this one and had a fun time with it! this was a quick read that had my heart racing and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting for what was going to happen next. i didn't guess the plot twists, which is always a plus when reading thrillers since i have a tendency to guess them. i did find charlie, the main character, annoying at times and was so frustrated reading about some of the decisions she made; however, i do feel like that was kind of the point of this book. everyone reacts differently to the same experience and it's hard to say what i would do if i were in the same situation, so i can't really judge charlie for her decisions. another hit from sager for me!
