Wow! As a fan of all Pride and Prejudice media reading this book was amazing! I never truly understood how much of the dialogue was from Jane Austen's writing. Her voice was strong in this novel. I could hear her commentary and opinions on the world she and her characters live in. She pulled no punches and it definitely drew me in. I was enthralled with the way Austen showed many of the characters thought processes and emotions. It made for an interesting insight into how, especially Darcy and Elizabeth, grew and changed their mindsets. Unlike the movies, it felt like I understood everyone's motivations more and how the role of family and their behavior was very influential. Honestly, the audiobook element only added to my enjoyment as the actor did a fantastic job. I found myself eager to keep reading and would tell everyone around me how much I was loving it. Two hundred years later and I would recommend this read. Easier than expected and full of so many interesting character, interactions and dialogue!
