Killer Instinct by S.E. Green
1.0
This was extremely disturbing. When I picked this book up at the library, I thought it was a book about a girl hunting a serial killer. Which sounded interesting.
I WAS WRONG!
This is about a girl who IS A SERIAL KILLER. Within the first chapter, Lane (the M.C.) decides that as a seventeenth birthday present to herself, she is going to kill a rapist. Now, what about that sentence seems wrong to you? Everything.
I'm not saying that the rapist was justified (because he wasn't) but neither is the teenage serial killer who decides to kill him (she doesn't actually but still). After this, I DNF'ed because it was repulsive. I mean, disgusting and horrific and completely terrible.
The blurb states "Lane is a typical teenager". HOW WAS THIS PUT HERE? Lane is a serial killer. Your typical teenager is NOT A SERIAL KILLER!!
So, if you value an unscarred life, I suggest you don't read this. I honestly wish to go back in time and slap myself if I even think about picking up this book. The only redeeming quality was the writing: style not substance. Because as I've stated above, the content is atrocious. Beware this book.
