OMG OMG OMG OMG!! I don't have enough words to describe how much I love this book.
I literally DEVOURED IT!! This was filled with ALL the emotions, action, and swoon-worthy moments. And the characters were CHEF KISS!!
We follow Captain of the fae army Elianna Solus, the bastard firstborn daughter of the fae king, all her life she has lived being scorned by the queen, a captain in a war she does not want to continue, but unable to claim her rightful place upon the throne she is left powerless. That is until she is stranded with Jace Cadoria, Commander of the human army, the enemy. But are they enemies or will they discover what lies beyond?
When I say that you HAVE to read this book I MEAN IT!! THE ENDING LEFT ME DESTROYED!!!! And the characters- I don't even know where to begin. Our FMC, Elianna (Lia) is A QUEEN, she is THE ICON AND THE MOMENT. I loved her from the beginning and I WILL RIDE AT DAWN IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO HER. Now, JACE, OHMYGAWD THAT MAN. I lvoe how, even though he has a deep hatred for the fae (my heart broke for him) he can't help but see a different side of them with Lia and that is so beautiful. Their interactions SENT ME, I couldn't stop laughing!! Finnian and Avery are so so so sweet and they too had me cackling. Lukas and the King have my heart.
One thing I really really liked was reading one of the villains' POV, that just makes me want to punch all of them in the face more. Now I'll go and read Book 2 because my heart can't take it.
