Star-Spangled Jesus: Leaving Christian Nationalism and Finding a True Faith by April Ajoy

5.0

I *really* liked this book.  I thought I’d finish it and think “yup!  Just what I thought and it was nice to read it”. But it was so much more.  How April connected all of these culture issues and politics and Christianity and nationalism… just woven them together perfectly. Even tho I knew most of the facts, somehow I had never really put them all together to make sense of <looks around> all of this.  The ending was so thoughtful and I want to read it again and memorize some of the quotes.
I appreciated that the whole book was about her.  Not “you”. She wasn’t pointing at others. She shared what she did. And what her journey was. And how she arrived at the point she’s at now.  I Recommend it!  Even if you know all of this stuff already !!
