The Colditz Story
by P.R. Reid
A fascinating and engaging WW2 escape story. I read this as I'm planning to visit Coldtiz Castle next month, and it has me excited for the experience.
The one thing that took away a bit for me were the sections of dialogue. He has such long, detailed, and sometimes innocuous sections that I can't help but think that the author invented portions of them. And in them the author at times sounds like a know-it-all: he's always the one telling them how it should be done while everyone else is clueless.
