This really didn’t click for me. The first chapter really intrigued me, but honestly from there it went down hill. There are definitely some things I enjoyed, but more that I did not. Overall this felt somewhat shallow, and I found the middle boring. I listened to the audiobook and often zoned out because I just didn’t care about what was happening. There are some interesting themes/messages here, but I think the way they were discussed was kind of heavy handed. I thought the  twists were either obvious or ridiculous. There is a romance between two characters who don’t even really have chemistry with one another, and it felt very insta-lovey. I didn’t hate this book but it  hit a lot of the things I don’t tend to like in books, so I did not enjoy most of it.

I listened to the audiobook and think the narrator did a good job even if I didn’t end up liking the book. I recommend the audiobook if you are considering reading this!
