My Killer Vacation by Tessa Bailey
4.0

3.5 Stars

Overview: Okay...I didn't expect this to be a 5 star read, but I also didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did. Yes, I've given it 3.5 stars but that's a pretty decent rating considering the amount of steamy scenes in it. Also...this book wasn't really about the murder. Let's be honest. It was about the two characters and whether or not they were going to land up together. This book had no surprises, no twists, no shocking moments...but it was a fun read and that's exactly what I needed.

Good points: It's easy to read. I liked having the two POV. The tension was real and I quite liked the characters, even though I did roll my eyes so much at some of the dialogue that I got dizzy. It does what it says on the tin.

Not so good points: This was first and foremost, a romance. The murder was a secondary issue that happened to bring them together and I didn't care one bit about who killed the poor guy. The steamy scenes were...steamy... And why does every romance have a huge guy and a tiny girl? Why does he always have to save her? Why can't she save herself? Ick.

Anyway...despite that, it was a decent book...now where's my next twisty psychological thriller?
