Schwab's writing does wonders for the dark and passionate moments. The hunger, lust, horror and the moment someone you love becomes a monster. That was fantastic.
The "man wants to SA female vampire but ends up getting eaten instead as punishment" scene gets repeated a lot, to the point where it feels cartoonish. Some moments are pretty boring too. But overall, good book.
