Mall Goth by Kate Leth

4.0

Liv and her family have just moved to town, and Liv is worried about being the new kid, especially as an awkward, bisexual goth. It doesn’t help that her parents marriage is rocky, and she rarely sees her dad. Luckily, there’s always the mall! She does start to make friends, but things get awkward when the boy who flirts with her already has a girlfriend, and when her English teacher takes personal interest in her. Who can she turn to for help, and who are her real friends?

A really good YA graphic novel about finding oneself and finding real friendship, and about being Goth in the early ‘00s. Really fun read, with some serious subjects.
