I don't even know how to write a review about Pauli Murray's memoir that would do it justice. What a remarkable human being whose impact on this country has long since been hidden.
But it's more than that. It is about an indomitable spirit that did not back down from their convictions. Someone who lived their life to the fullest despite hardships and challenges, and constantly reinvented themselves to be a leader at different phases of their life.
Pauli Murray is incredible. This book is a powerful story and an example for many of us who are seeking a way to fight for an equitable future for this country, showing how far we have come and how far we still need to go.
