You know, I liked this. It was screaming towards an ending I was going to be VERY mad about, but it pulled it out at the end. Now I wish the Arcadia hotel was a real thing so I could go visit.
In the first part, though, there were so many characters I often didn't even know what was going on because I didn't know who was who. I didn't get everyone straight until late in part two when the past was re-explained. Part one is somewhat of a prequel that you have to get through so you have the proper context. Don't give up!
