I'm a theatre kid at heart - which means I grew up blasting musical soundtracks in my bedroom and belting them out at the top of my lungs, collecting Playbills, and obsessing over stage actors (but NEVER performing because I'm not talented whatsoever lol).

So Kate In Waiting was seriously the cutest, dreamiest YA romance for me.

What I loved about this book was that although it's a book about cute boys and teen romances, the main love story here is between Kate and Anderson's friendship. They are friendship soulmates - always there for each other (arguably a little TOO close) and understanding each other unlike anyone else.

The ending was so picture-perfect that I could practically melt 😍 It was gooey and sweet and everything I wanted from this book. I only docked it 1/2 a star because it didn't quite stack up to Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda for me - but then again, what does? LOL
