For fans of Thrawn, the Ascendancy series is an exciting look into the Chiss world. This book provided a slightly unsatisfying conclusion to the trilogy, but I still thoroughly enjoyed it. The Ascendancy series is much more political than action-heavy, the Thrawn series was, and I think that this book spent a lot more time with characters that I was less interested in than the previous two books in the series.
