The Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch

5.0

Who knew you could spend a whole book rooting for the thieves (and not Robin Hood type thieves, at that)? I could not put this book down; didn't get anything done I was supposed to this weekend.

I will say that the book is not for the faint of heart, considering the number of f-bombs dropped (I stopped counting).

Mr. Lynch creates an incredible array of characters (actual and "fictional") that come alive. I couldn't wait to see what fiction Locke Lamora would come up with next.

The format of the book was also very interesting, what with the "interludes" that allow Mr. Lynch to tell two stories at once; how the Gentlemen Bastards got where they are, and the terrible mess they were currently involved in.

Can't wait to read the next one. Hope there's more on Locke and the woman he's pining for.
