I love, love, love me some Jenny Colgan, but not this particular book. To be fair, this is a re-publication of a very early work of hers, and she says right up front in the author’s notes that it’s very dated...and it is. Colgan’s trademark wit, her self-deprecating heroines, adorable B-plots...it’s all here, but I think I’ll wait for her latest rather than re-visiting any more of the back catalogue.
