There's Magic Between Us by Jillian Maria

Rounding up because I will always have a soft spot for talking things out and fae.

I tend to have a hard time with how youths are written in YAs. They tend to sound like they are too young or like adult writers trying too hard. I was happy to find the right mix with this MC, which was great, but also, realistic 16 year olds can be incredibly infuriating.

Overall, the story was well written and the growth of the main character felt realistic. While there were times I wanted to shake some sense into the MC and LI it was very satisfying to see how far they had come.

Some plot points seemed easily predictable but I felt like the delivery was done well enough that I did not mind.

If you're looking for a PG story narrated by an angsty, but well-meaning, teen then this might be for you. I am of the mind that the presence of fae only makes things better so it was a great addition to a sapphic slow burn romance.
