Thing I like: exploration into the reactionary relationship between pop culture and the political atmosphere. How did the Bomb affect the stories people told? What about the Cold War? This book traced those nicely.

Thing I don't like: sneaky biography of a person I am not terribly interested in and his self-indulgent sulking/partaking of immense amounts of hallucinogens.
