Omg. How could I even possibly describe how amazing this book is? It is a literary masterpiece, so incredibly poetic, with the best found-family, a beautiful love story, so many plot twists and such witty characters. I really did not have high expectations when starting this book, especially because the world building was slightly dreadful, but after the first 100 pages, it was great. I was literally kicking my feet and swooning at Nasir and the little moments between him and Zafira. The ending, although interesting and fitting, was so unsatisfying, but that is probably because I am not planning on reading the second novel (I should tbh) and many things are left unfinished or barely complete/ wrapped up, with so much that could and will happen.
