Valen has shut her heart off.  If she doesn't feel or let anyone in, she won't get hurt and she wants no part of that.  But now that her best friend, Shayne, is back Valen just can't seem to get away from Shayne's step-brother, Holden.  He is everywhere she turns and now they go to college together and are neighbors.  Despite this Valen does her best to avoid and push Holden away.  When the group  decides to get away for their winter break to the Ames family cabin, a snow storm hits trapping Valen and Holden alone in the cabin where they give into their chemistry.  But it is just one time so they can bang it out of their systems.  Right?

I devoured this book.  I stayed up entirely too late into the wee hours of the morning because I couldn't bring myself to stop reading this book.  I loved everything about it.  I loved their banter and push and pull.  I loved the mystery and suspense that trailed over from the first book.  I loved the how vulnerable these two were with each other - breaking down their walls and letting the other in.  I loved how incredibly hot these two were.   Not only was the chemistry pouring off the pages but this is most definitely the spiciest book by this author.  I just loved all the things and it was worth the wait.
